Established 1981
With two galleries side by side, the Ernie Wolfe Gallery specializes in juxtaposition exhibitions between modern American and African tribal and contemporary art. Next door at Turkana one will find an array of large-scale traditional and architectural sculpture from Sub-Saharan Africa, including granary ladders, toguna house posts from Mali, vigango (commemorative sculpture from Kenya) and tribal furniture, as well as contemporary African paintings and sculpture.
